Our Team
James Han
Senior Pastor
Rev. James Han is the Senior Pastor of Redeemer. He received a B.A. in English from U.C. Irvine in 1993 and Masters of Divinity from Westminster Seminary California in 1997. He is ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and is an active member of the Korean Southwest Presbytery.

Pastor James lives in Torrance with his wife, Sorah, and their three children, Iain, Selah, and Nathan. He met Sorah while being a student at UCLA, and wants everyone to know that he is taller than her. During his free time, Pastor James loves watching his kids play sports, working out, and hanging out over a hot cup of coffee, which is one thing he cannot live without.

Alex Kim
Children's/Executive Pastor
Rev. Alexander Kim studied Cognitive Science at the University of California, Merced, received his Masters of Divinity at Westminster Seminary California, and was ordained in the KAPC in 2017.
He lives by the simple motto that he learned from seminary; preach the gospel, die and be forgotten.

He is married to a beautiful wife Younjoo. They have two adorable children Luke and Lillian.
Yuma Takei
Assistant Pastor
Rev. Yuma Takei received a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Biola University as well as a Masters of Divinity from Westminster Seminary California. He is ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America.
Pastor Yuma lives in Torrance and is happily married to Ashley Kim. He has many hobbies from running and coffee making, but he is particularly competitive in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He also loves to wind down with a good book to read and will happily discuss his theological/educational discoveries with you.
